On Twitter I wrote:
Trying not to be too concerned about the big tornado in Memphis that left the entire city without power. We, Bulgarians, don't do "tornado".
Two seconds later I get a reply from my friend and newly minted Dr. Penev:
We, Bulgarians, don't really care about power shortages.
True, true. Case closed.

That's really funny!
Bulgarian's don't do power outages...water getting shut off with no warning and then being off for a day or two...earthquakes...oh, and service guys, when they call to say they will be there between 10 and 3, really mean they will be there between 7 and 10 p.m.!
I've only lived here 18 months and there's a lot of things Bulgarians don't do =P
@T.W. The funny thing is: this really doesn't bother anyone. Calling the service guys simply means that you have to spend a day waiting.
Those skills: dealing with power and water shortages, with cab drivers and noisy neighbours will save the Bulgarians forever :) Nothing scares us.
Bull! I am freaked out with those tornadoes... On the other side - bought a generator for the power-outages :)
